About

iScribe is the semi-exclusive eclectic thoughts-to-words of Ian Kinsey. That’s me by the way and thanks for dropping in. I hope you enjoy your read.

The intent is to get a few opinions off my chest and some self-professed creative inspirations out of my head. I’d like to do all that before the end of my first century, or when the omnipotent order deems I have surpassed my best before date and it’s time to return to the home planet.

My words will leave you somewhere between praising the prose, which I hope you will share on your social media sites. Or you’ll be screaming obscenities at your computer, tablet or phone. I’ll make your day or hit a nerve.

Overall iScribe will endeavour to enlighten, entertain or inform by delivering a good read and leaving you with a morsel of new found knowledge or food for thought. Unless you already have a dog or cat named Thought, then you’ll have to buy your own food.

Reprints

You can reprint any iScribe article. It’s not too much to ask but ‘before’ publishing please have the courtesy to email me at editor@iscribe.uk just to let me know where it’s being reprinted.

Two guidelines:

  • The article must be reprinted without any editorial amendments. If you want to make changes I have to approve these beforehand. Email editor@iscribe.uk. I’m sure you’d appreciate the same courtesy. I will respect your publication’s style guide, or the one it follows.
  • Include (at the footer or header) that the article is copyright iScribe©2024
  • Provide a link to the iscribe.uk website. In the spirit of reciprocity iScribe will insert, below the original article published on iscribe.uk.

Reprinted with permission at <your publication name and a link to the article’s reprint site>

Reviewing an article

If you’re just plucking a paragraph or sentence from an iScribe article, go for it. Somewhere in your post a link back to the original iscribe.uk article would be appreciated.
